Driving Sales for RadioShack

Consumers had seen the RadioShack “Red Chair” on TV. We wanted to extend this promotional device to the mall to drive traffic into the store.

The “Red Chair” Mall promotion invited shoppers to create their own video holiday wish list from RadioShack’s products – just like the people they’d seen on TV. The videos could be emailed to friends and family. In addition, participants were given a promotional ticket that was redeemable in-store for savings on their own purchases. At each mall event a winner was selected and given their wish list.

The results:
      • Participating RS stores showed a 6.7% sales lift vs. previous year
      • 5% redemption rate of coupons associated with the program
      • 165% higher transaction size associated with program
      • Engaged 21,000 consumers at the mall events
      • Over 1.2 million brand impressions generated
